Religious Visions Seen In Toast In Florida

For over 2,000 years, apparitions of the Virgin Mary and Jesus have reportedly appeared before thousands of people, usually in visions of bright light and accompanied by a profound message. Out of all of these recorded visions, the Roman Catholic Church and the Vatican have only sanctioned three of them.

However, recently the state of Florida has had a flurry of holy visions… in toast!

Holy Toast One

If you squint hard, in this slice of toast you can just about see the image of Jesus:

To some people, this piece of toast resembles an image of the Virgin Mary:

26 Amazing Man-Made Florida Landscapes [Photos]

Florida offers some of the most amazing natural beauty anywhere in the world. With coral reefs, sandy beaches and the untouched Everglades to name but a few, Florida is one of the most sought after locations to live in Eastern America. Because of this, residential developments agencies have taken over vast quantities of land in Florida over the last 20 years building numerous new neighbourhoods. However with a mixture of the recent financial crisis and mass villa developments being built surplus to requirements, huge housing plots now sit partially completed among densely built up neighbourhoods and swampland.

This ‘boom and bust’ residential development has drastically affected parts of the Florida landscape, both for the best and the worst. Below are 26 amazing examples, as seen from the air, of these man-made Florida landscapes:

1) A section of a partially built residential project with only two houses completed, near Fort Myers, Florida.

2) A row of houses in a neighborhood southeast of Fort Myers, Florida.

3) Circular layouts of houses, southwest of Fort Myers, Florida.

4) Once proposed as the 57,000 acre 'Golden Gate Estates', this area of land was to be the largest subdivision in America in the 1960s. Many canals and roads were built, but the development went bankrupt. Over the last 20 years, the land has been acquired by the state, and converted into the Picayune Strand State Forest.

5) Boats make their way through canals in a neighborhood north of Cape Coral, Florida.

6) The Rotonda West neighborhood, originally developed in the 1960s, was never fully completed, located in Charlotte County, Florida.

7) A densely built security gated community in Bonita Springs, Florida.

8) A community built around a man-made lake in the southeast of Bonita Springs, Florida.

9) Empty cul-de-sacs fill an area in the south of Rotonda West in Charlotte County, Florida.

10) A developed neighborhood with another under construction in Lehigh Acres, Florida.

11) A very densely populated neighborhood of Cape Coral, Florida.

12) A development built near North Fort Myers, Florida on the Caloosahatchee River.

13) A partly developed, now overgrown neighborhood in the north of Lehigh Acres, Florida.

14) The Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport was originally planned as the Everglades Jetport. Construction started in 1968 on what was to be the world's largest airport with six runways to support supersonic aeroplanes. Being surrounded by the Big Cypress National Preserve, environmental concerns resulted in the construction being cancelled, and when commercial supersonic transport didn't happen, the project was abandoned; now a lightly-used airport.

23) A series of residential developments in varying states of completion along a highway south of Naples, Florida.

24) Naples Park, a densely developed community north of Naples, Florida.

25) Canals and homes near the Big Marco River on Marco Island, Florida.

26) Construction equipment sits parked idol among empty cul-de-sacs and a man-made lake in a development southeast of Fort Myers, Florida.
