<p>For over 2,000 years, apparitions of the Virgin Mary and Jesus have reportedly appeared before thousands of people, usually in visions of bright light and accompanied by a profound message. Out of all of these recorded visions, the Roman Catholic Church and the Vatican have only sanctioned three of them.</p>
<p>However, recently the state of Florida has had a flurry of holy visions&#8230; in toast!<span id="more-608"></span></p>
<h2>Holy Toast One</h2>
<p>If you squint hard, in this slice of toast you can just about see the image of Jesus:</p>
<p><img style="margin-bottom:40px;" src="http://www.floridaholidayblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/toast-jesus.jpg" alt="Toast Jesus" title="Toast Jesus" width="400" height="300" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-611" /></p>
<h2>Holy Toast Two</h2>
<p>To some people, this piece of toast resembles an image of the Virgin Mary:</p>
<p><img style="margin-bottom:40px;" src="http://www.floridaholidayblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/toast-mary.jpg" alt="Toast Mary" title="Toast Mary" width="400" height="300" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-612" /></p>
<p></ br></p>
<h2>Holy Toast Three</h2>
<p>And if you look really carefully at this one, you can just about make out a cat&#8217;s face:</p>
<p><img style="margin-right:100%;" src="http://www.floridaholidayblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/toast-cat.jpg" alt="Toast Cat" title="Toast Cat" width="400" height="300" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-613" /></p>

		</div>
<p>Florida offers some of the most amazing natural beauty anywhere in the world. With coral reefs, sandy beaches and the untouched Everglades to name but a few, Florida is one of the most sought after locations to live in Eastern America. Because of this, residential developments agencies have taken over vast quantities of land in Florida over the last 20 years building numerous new neighbourhoods. However with a mixture of the recent financial crisis and mass villa developments being built surplus to requirements, huge housing plots now sit partially completed among densely built up neighbourhoods and swampland.</p>
<p>This &#8216;boom and bust&#8217; residential development has drastically affected parts of the Florida landscape, both for the best and the worst. Below are 26 amazing examples, as seen from the air, of these man-made Florida landscapes:</p>
<div id="attachment_363" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 610px"><img src="http://www.floridaholidayblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Florida-Landscape-1.jpg" alt="Florida Landscape 1 - Fort Myers" title="Florida Landscape 1 - Fort Myers" width="600" height="388" class="size-full wp-image-363" /><p class="wp-caption-text">1) A section of a partially built residential project with only two houses completed, near Fort Myers, Florida.</p></div><br />
<span id="more-359"></span><br />
<div id="attachment_367" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 610px"><img src="http://www.floridaholidayblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Florida-Landscape-2.jpg" alt="Florida Landscape 2 - Fort Myers" title="Florida Landscape 2 - Fort Myers" width="600" height="392" class="size-full wp-image-367" /><p class="wp-caption-text">2) A row of houses in a neighborhood southeast of Fort Myers, Florida.</p></div>
<div id="attachment_370" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 610px"><img src="http://www.floridaholidayblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Florida-Landscape-3.jpg" alt="Florida Landscape 3 - Fort Myers" title="Florida Landscape 3 - Fort Myers" width="600" height="377" class="size-full wp-image-370" /><p class="wp-caption-text">3) Circular layouts of houses, southwest of Fort Myers, Florida.</p></div>
<div id="attachment_371" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 610px"><img src="http://www.floridaholidayblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Florida-Landscape-4.jpg" alt="Florida Landscape 4 - Picayune Strand State Forest" title="Florida Landscape 4 - Picayune Strand State Forest" width="600" height="326" class="size-full wp-image-371" /><p class="wp-caption-text">4) Once proposed as the 57,000 acre 'Golden Gate Estates', this area of land was to be the largest subdivision in America in the 1960s. Many canals and roads were built, but the development went bankrupt. Over the last 20 years, the land has been acquired by the state, and converted into the Picayune Strand State Forest.</p></div>
